Yes. We don’t manufacture or install anything. Our reviews and comparisons are written independently and aren’t influenced by commercial relationships.
How do you make money, then?
Right now, we don’t — A Steady Home is a free, guidance-only resource while we build out our library of guides and comparisons. In future we may connect visitors with vetted local installers and earn a referral fee for that introduction, at no cost to you and with no effect on what we recommend. We’ll disclose that clearly here if and when it happens.

Our guides and cost data cover the whole US. Local installer matching is coming soon — for now, every guide applies nationally, with state-specific detail called out where it matters (like funding programs).
